Dr. Mike Hahn

Dr. Hahn grew up in Bethel Park, PA. He graduated from Penn State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Bioscience. Dr. Hahn started graduate school at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. He then went on to begin veterinary training at the University of Liverpool, England. After a year and a half in England, Dr. Hahn transferred to the University of Tennessee. In 1998, he graduated with honors with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree. That same weekend he also married Julie Dunnivant, a classmate of his.

Dr. Hahn and Dr. Dunnivant both practiced in Abingdon, VA for ten years. In that ten years their biggest accomplishment has been raising their three children: Anna (6 years), Addie (4 years), and Ben (2 years). They have also adopted several 4-legged members into the family: Sadie (11-year old Blue Heeler mix), Spencer (9-year old Yellow Lab mix), Sage (3-year old Great Dane), Babe (1-year old Great Pyrenese), and Oliver (1-year old Orange Tabby).

As a doctor, Dr. Hahn enjoys working with dogs and cats, but will also treat rabbits, guinea pigs, and rodents. His special interests include reptile medicine, orthopedics, and endoscopic biopsies and retrievals, but he has also been trained in laprascopy.

Dr. Lynn Welch

A native of Bristol, TN, Dr. Welch graduated from the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993.  She worked as a relief veterinarian for a brief period of time before accepting a position with the then newly established Airport Pet Emergency Clinic.  Welch has practiced full-time since APEC's inception in 1994.

"I am amazed at the growth APEC has seen.  When I first started, there were only two staff members on the evening shift and sometimes, if I was fortunate, one person overnight.

Dr. Welch has one son, Tommy.  She enjoys reading in her spare time, embroidery and owns and operates her own drag racer.
